In the spring of 2025, Chesworth Construction Ltd successfully delivered the full refurbishment of this social housing property in Aberdyfi for Cyngor Gwynedd Council, transforming the home to meet modern standards of safety, comfort, and energy efficiency. This project supports the council’s ongoing commitment to improving the quality and sustainability of its housing stock, providing future tenants with a safer, warmer, and more welcoming home.
The refurbishment works included the installation of a new insulated concrete floor, full replacement of UPVC windows and doors, and complete upgrades to both the kitchen and bathroom. Internal improvements featured a full electrical rewire, plastering and redecoration throughout, new internal doors and joinery, and new flooring across the property. To modernise the internal layout, the brick chimney was removed, creating a more open and functional living space.
Externally, the property received extensive enhancements, including re-landscaped grounds with new fencing, gates, steps, and a turfed lawn. The external shed was rendered and fitted with new doors, while the property’s masonry and render were fully redecorated. Additional upgrades included the installation of new soffits and rainwater goods to ensure the property is protected and resilient for years to come.
